My Bebe Love: KiligPaMore
My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore is a 2015 Filipino romantic comedy directed by Jose Javier Reyes. It stars Vic Sotto and Ai-Ai delas Alas, with Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza in their first film together as the AlDub love team. The story follows the love-hate feud between Vito Carillo and Cora Talatala and the romance between their relatives Dondi Talatala and Anna Carillo.
The film was an official entry to the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) and was produced by OctoArts Films, M-Zet Productions, APT Entertainment, GMA Pictures, and MEDA Productions. It marks the reunion of Sotto and delas Alas and the debut of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza on the big screen, as well as the first project under MEDA Productions.
Released on December 25, 2015, My Bebe Love became a huge hit, earning about ₱385 million in the Philippines and setting a high opening-day record for MMFF at the time. It was shown in several countries, including the United States, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates. At MMFF 2015, it won the Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award and Best Supporting Actress for Maine Mendoza, with Sotto and delas Alas earning Box Office King and Queen awards.
Critics were mixed: some praised the chemistry of Mendoza and Richards, while others criticized the film for heavy product placements. The movie’s production involved Jose Javier Reyes and Bibeth Orteza, with principal photography from September 19 to November 30, 2015. The premiere was a major red-carpet event at SM Megamall, and the film is remembered as the last on-screen appearance of actress Lilia Cuntapay.
