Hold On Baby is the second studio album by American singer King Princess. It was released on July 29, 2022, through Zelig Records. The 40-minute record was produced by Mark Ronson, Ethan Gruska, Aaron Dessner, Bryce Dessner, and Tobias Jesso Jr. Musically, it blends indie pop with electronic and pop-rock sounds and looks at love, friendship, and personal struggles.

Ahead of the album, King Princess released several singles to promote Hold On Baby. These included Little Bother featuring Fousheé (January 14, 2022), For My Friends (March 18, 2022), Too Bad / Cursed (June 9, 2022), Change the Locks (July 8, 2022), and Let Us Die, which arrived with the album and features drums by the late Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters.

Critics generally gave Hold On Baby positive reviews. It holds a Metacritic score of 78 out of 100, indicating favorable opinions. Reviewers praised the album’s production, instrumentals, and emotional honesty, while some noted it can feel uneven in places. Rolling Stone called the album’s sound bold, DIY described it as King Princess’s most diverse and chaotic record to date, and Pitchfork offered a mostly positive take with some caveats. Some critics, like NME and Slant Magazine, were more mixed about cohesion and melody, but overall many highlighted King Princess’s confident performance and the album’s strengths.
