Hizon–Singian House
Hizon–Singian House, also known as Bale Santungan ding Pamilyang Hizon Singian, is a two-story Bahay na Bato heritage house in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines. It was built in 1870 by local leader Anacleto Hizon and Victoria Singian de Miranda y de Ocampo. The building has been used for military purposes in history: during the 1896 Philippine Revolution it was occupied by Spanish General Antonio Ruiz; in World War II (1943–1944) Japanese forces used it as a troop barracks; and after the war, American General Walter Krueger used it as his headquarters until 1945. The house is considered a well-preserved example of Spanish colonial architecture, with only minor changes before World War II. It was declared a Heritage House by the National Historical Institute on January 27, 2003 (Resolution No. 4, S. 2003).
