Hiroyuki Abe, known as Abe Ani, (born February 9, 1970) is a Japanese mixed martial artist who competed in the featherweight division. He has fought in major promotions such as Shooto, Pride FC, Deep, King of the Cage, Cage Rage, and ADCC. A native of Ichinomiya, Aichi, Japan, Abe holds black belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and Karate, and trains in wrestling, sambo, BJJ, judo, karate, and shootfighting. He runs the Abe Ani Combat Club and has trained fighters like Megumi Fujii, Yasuko Tamada, and Hitomi Akano. His career lasted from 1998 to 2012, and he finished with a record of 27 wins, 15 losses, 3 draws, and 1 no contest. He has faced notable opponents including Urijah Faber, Brad Pickett, and Luiz Firmino. After a five-year break, he returned to Shooto on September 30, 2012, but lost to Shigeki Osawa by TKO.
