Ståle Økland, born 21 April 1976, is a Norwegian writer, thinker, trend expert and public speaker. He grew up in Bryne, Leverkusen and Paris, and now lives in Oslo. He studied sociology, history and German. He began his career in advertising as a copywriter in Stavanger, later becoming creative director, then partner and managing director. In 2007 he started his own trend agency, Domene Fem AS. He talks about trends in consumption, technology, trade and society, and topics important to business like globalization, culture, innovation, strategy and retail. He has given keynote speeches at many European conferences. He also served as vice mayor of Time, Norway from 2003 to 2005. He is the eldest son of former footballer Arne Larsen Økland.
