Hicks is a small, unincorporated community in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. A Hicks post office operated from 1887 to 1992. Hicks High School has about 400 students. The Hicks Pentecostal Church Cemetery is in the community and is the burial place of 30th Judicial District Court Judge Jim Mitchell.
