Hawkwind, the British space-rock band, have been active since 1969. Their first video release was Night Of The Hawk, filmed during the Earth Ritual Tour in Ipswich on 9 March 1984. Since then there have been many videos showing the band’s evolution, including professional TV shoots, commercial releases, and some amateur recordings. There were also live video shoots in the 1970s, but none were released commercially: a 12 April 1970 show at The Roundhouse in London and a Hawklords performance at Brunel University, Uxbridge on 24 November 1978. The Hawkestra reunion on 21 October 2000 at Brixton Academy, featuring past and present members, was filmed professionally, but ongoing band disputes make any release unlikely.
