Harvey A. Gallup
Harvey Alpheus Gallup (1869–1946) was an American politician from Massachusetts. He served on the North Adams City Council, was the 12th mayor of North Adams (1921–1922), and later served as a Massachusetts State Senator for the Berkshire District from 1925 to 1928. He was born in Clarksburg, Massachusetts, and started the Harvey A. Gallup Agency in 1891 with his brother Clarence. Gallup was a Republican.
He married Edith Adele Dibble in 1893 and later Kathryn L. Lyons in 1933. He had four children: Katheryn F. Gallup, Harvey A. Gallup, Harry W. Gallup, and Elizabeth W. Gallup. Gallup died on August 6, 1946, in Adams, Massachusetts, at age 76. Professionally, he worked as an insurance agent and was involved in real estate and investment securities.
