Han Groo
Han Groo, born Min Han-groo on May 29, 1992, is a South Korean actress and singer. She was born in Namyangju, South Korea. When she was in fourth grade, her family moved to the United States, where she studied in California and won a President’s Education Award in 2003. She is also a skilled dancer in hip hop, jazz, and tap. After four years in the U.S., her family moved to China for four years, and she attended Beijing International Art School, learning English and Mandarin before returning to Korea. Her father is a TV commercial director and her mother was a professional model.
Back in Korea, she began as a singer in 2011 with the EP GROO ONE and the single My Boy, earning a Best New Female Artist nomination at the 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards. She soon focused on acting, debuting in Girl K (Killer K) on CGV, and later appeared in Just Like Today, The Scandal, One Warm Word, and lead roles in Can We Get Married? (2012) and Marriage, Not Dating (2014). In June 2022, she signed with SBD Entertainment. Han Groo married a non-celebrity in November 2015, and they had twins in March 2017. She announced their divorce on September 27, 2022, and she has custody of the twins.
