IRIB World Service, also called the Voice of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is Iran’s official international radio network. It began in 1956 to share Iran’s history, culture, regions, and famous sites with the world. After the Iranian Revolution, it focused more on the revolution’s views and the ideals of the Islamic Republic. Its programs include news, talk shows, political and religious commentary, and special features for holidays and events. The service broadcasts in 32 languages. The English service targets listeners in the English-speaking world. Voice of Justice is a 60-minute programming block for listeners in the United States.
