Thiruppuvanam is a town in Sivaganga district, Tamil Nadu, India. It is part of the Manamadurai assembly constituency and division. The town sits on the bank of the Vaigai River and lies along the Madurai–Rameswaram National Highway, about 18 km east of Madurai.

Thiruppuvanam was carved out as a taluk from Manamadurai taluk. It includes three firkas: Thiruppuvanam, Thiruppachetti (Thirupachi), and Konthagai. The town has a police station, and plans for a fire station are in discussion.

As of the 2011 census, about 21,435 people live here, with roughly equal numbers of men and women. The literacy rate is 74% (81% for men and 66% for women), higher than the national average.

The Pushpavaneswarar temple, a noted Padal Petra Shiva temple, is nearby. Thiruppuvanam is close to the temple city of Madurai. The town has a railway station connected to Madurai. It is the only block in Sivaganga district that comes under the Madurai region, which means many Madurai facilities are available here. It also hosts a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) depot, one of two Madurai division depots beyond Madurai district, and supports both Madurai city bus services and Sivagangai bus services. The town is famous for its billhook.

Because of its proximity to Madurai, many schools, colleges, and industries are located in and around Thiruppuvanam. The nearest airport is Madurai International Airport.
