Gypsoplaca is a genus of lichen-forming fungi. It is the only genus in the family Gypsoplacaceae, which is part of the order Lecanorales. The family Gypsoplacaceae is monotypic (contains only Gypsoplaca). The genus and family were described in 1990 by Norwegian lichenologist Einar Timdal. The type species is Gypsoplaca macrophylla. In addition to G. macrophylla, four other species are recognized: Gypsoplaca alpina, Gypsoplaca blastidiata, Gypsoplaca bullata, and Gypsoplaca rosulata. The genus originally contained only the type species, but four more species were added in 2018. The distribution of Gypsoplaca is widespread.
