Caledonia Historic District
Caledonia Historic District is a national historic district in Caledonia, Missouri. The district covers about 26 acres in the town’s central business district and nearby homes, roughly bounded by Patrick, College, and Alexander Streets and Missouri Route 21. It developed from around 1818 to 1936 and features Greek Revival and Classical Revival architecture along with I-house designs. Notable buildings include the Ruggles-Evans-Dent House (c. 1830), Eversole House (1854), Methodist Church (c. 1852), Presbyterian Church (1872), Caledonia School (1936), Benton Sinclair Store (c. 1909), McSpaden’s Golden Rule Store (c. 1909), Post Office (c. 1909), Tyro Masonic Lodge (1919), and the Conoco service station (c. 1930). It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 27, 1986 (NRHP Reference Number 86003389).
