Greve Lake
Greve Lake (Lago Greve) is a large proglacial lake in southern Chile. It formed when the Brüggen Glacier advanced and created an ice dam. The lake is fed by several glaciers, and the nearby Lautaro volcano is in the area. It lies in Última Esperanza Province, in the Magallanes y Antártica Chilena Region. The lake covers about 240 square kilometers, with an average depth of about 123 meters and a maximum depth of 150 meters. It holds roughly 29.6 cubic kilometers of water and sits at about 150 meters above sea level. Coordinates are around 49°S, 73.9°W.
