MBC Action
MBC Action is a free-to-air Saudi Arabian television channel owned by MBC Group. It targets young men across the Middle East and North Africa and broadcasts Western series, action films, anime, sports, and other action-focused programming. The channel is based in Riyadh and broadcasts in Arabic and English, with Arabic subtitles.
Launched on 5 March 2007, MBC Action was created to appeal to a male audience, unlike its sister channel MBC 4 which targets women. It began with the pilot episodes of Lost, Prison Break, and The 4400, and has since aired shows such as 24, Pimp My Ride, The Sparticle Mystery, and Power Rangers, as well as the International Fight League.
MBC Action HD launched on 1 July 2011. In addition to Western series and films, the channel features sports programming and a weekly car show—similar to Top Gear—a program about cars that also broadcasts the British and American versions of the BBC’s Top Gear. The channel is part of MBC Group and serves audiences across the Middle East and North Africa.
