Établissements Billard
Établissements Billard was a French railway rolling stock maker, founded in 1920 in Tours. It specialized in light railbuses and metre- and narrow-gauge rolling stock. The company stopped trading in 1956 and later became Socofer. Billard designs were made for the French Military Railway and were used to service the Maginot Line. They built railbuses for many French VFIPs (secondary railways) and for several European networks. The stock was sturdy and easy to build, so many Billard engines are still in service today.
