Greg Cromer (born June 26, 1958) is the mayor of Slidell, Louisiana, a position he has held since 2018. A Republican, he previously served in the Louisiana House of Representatives for the 90th district from 2008 to 2018.

Before his time in the state legislature, Cromer was a Slidell city council member for District G. He earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial management technology from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1981 and later worked for Lockheed Martin at NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility near New Orleans.

In the House, Cromer served on the Civil Law and Procedure, Governmental Affairs, and Retirement committees, and he was the chair of the Retirement Committee. He worked on flood relief for Slidell and supported the widening of Interstate 12 from four to six lanes in the area, a project valued at about $26 million. He was reelected to the House in 2011 with roughly 75% of the vote.

On April 22, 2012, Cromer resigned from the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), where he had served as Louisiana state chairman.

Personal: Born George Gregory Cromer, he is married to Peggy Sue Cromer and they have two children.
