Greenwood College
Greenwood College is an independent public high school in Greenwood, a northern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. It is a co-educational day school and also runs an Intensive English Centre (IEC) for international students and new arrivals. The college teaches students from Year 7 to Year 12 and supports English language learners.
History: It opened in 1975 as Greenwood Senior High School to serve the Greenwood community. In 2012 it joined Western Australia’s Independent Public School program and was renamed Greenwood College.
Programs and opportunities: The school offers sports and many clubs, including a long-running volleyball program. It has an Aeronautics and Aviation program that helps students prepare for aviation studies at university or TAFE, with some credit opportunities at Edith Cowan University. The International Program welcomes students from many countries and has grown since its start in 2007. Students can study in the IEC (ages 12-16) or move into the main high school to complete Years 8–12.
