Buttelstedt
Buttelstedt is a small town in Thuringia, Germany. It lies about 11 kilometers north of Weimar, in the Weimarer Land district. Since January 1, 2019, it has been part of the municipality Am Ettersberg. The town covers about 18.85 square kilometers and sits around 200 meters above sea level. In 2017, about 1,317 people lived there. In the past, during the German Empire (1871–1918), Buttelstedt was part of the Grand Duchy of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach.
