Green Is Beautiful
Green Is Beautiful is a jazz album by American guitarist Grant Green. It was recorded on January 30, 1970, at Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and released in July 1970 on the Blue Note label. Produced by Francis Wolff, the album runs 37 minutes and 33 seconds. In Green’s discography, it follows Carryin’ On (1969) and precedes Alive! (1970). AllMusic gave it 3 stars, with Steve Huey saying Green grows more comfortable with a tougher, funkier R&B sound, showing his reinvention as a jazz-funk artist wasn’t a disaster.
