Greater Mohali Area Development Authority
Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) is Punjab’s state development authority. Formed in 1970, it operates under the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Chief Minister of Punjab serves as its chairman. GMADA has three committees: Executive Committee, Planning and Design Committee, and Budget and Accounts Scrutiny Committee. It works in Mohali and nearby areas: Banur, Zirakpur, Dera Bassi, Kharar, Mullanpur Garibdass, Fatehgarh Sahib, Mandi Gobindgarh, and Rupnagar. Notable recent housing projects include Aerocity, Aerotropolis, and Ecocity.
