Engyophrys is a small genus of left-eyed flounders found in the oceans around the Americas. It belongs to the ray-finned fishes (Actinopterygii) and is part of the Taeniopsettidae family. The genus was named by D. S. Jordan & Bollman in 1890, with Engyophrys sanctilaurentii as its type species. There are two recognized species in this genus.
