Transfer, stylized as TRANSFER, is an art gallery that began in 2013 in Brooklyn, New York, founded by Kelani Nichole and Jereme Mongeon. The gallery moved to Los Angeles in June 2019, but its physical space later closed and it shifted to a virtual format. Kelani Nichole, an independent curator, serves as the gallery’s director. The concept is to help online artists connect with a physical context by using four blank walls where they can recreate their online work in traditional media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, or photography. In 2016, the TRANSFER Download program started touring nationally and internationally, with presentations in cities like Santa Fe, Miami, Los Angeles, and New York.
