Great Valley Nature Center was a charitable organization in Malvern, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia. It opened in 1974 (originally called the Nature Center of Charlestown) and closed in March 2017. The center taught people about the environment through exhibits, demonstrations, and workshops. The site included fields, streams, ponds, woods, and various habitats, plus a Birds of Prey Center that no longer has live birds. Other features were a replica Lenape Native American village, a Pennsylvania wildflower garden, a maple sugar house, and a hands-on exhibit area. Arnold Bartschi contributed the land and start-up funds. The center served the Greater Philadelphia region, including Chester County. After it closed, the property was owned by a bank in spring 2019, which planned to foreclose and sell it to a private party, a move Charlestown opposed.
