Grandview, Iowa
Grandview is a small city in Louisa County, Iowa, and part of the Muscatine Micropolitan Area. It sits about half a mile east of the junction of US Route 61 and Iowa Highway 92, with Wapello about six miles to the south and Muscatine roughly 12 miles to the northeast. The city covers 0.23 square miles, all land, and sits at about 702 feet above sea level.
As of 2020, Grandview has 437 residents living in 186 households, with a population density of about 1,915 people per square mile. The community is mostly White, with small numbers of other races and about 10% identifying as Hispanic or Latino. The median age is 42.9 years.
Grandview was laid out in 1841 by Alvin Clark and Robert Childers. It was seriously damaged by an EF3 tornado on June 1, 2007. The area is served by the Louisa–Muscatine Community School District.
