Stephen Keshi Stadium
Stephen Keshi Stadium is a multi-purpose complex in Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria. It has a 22,000-seat capacity with a grass playing surface. The main arena, the Governor Okowa Main Bowl, hosts football and athletics. The stadium opened in 2018 and was previously called Asaba Township Stadium; it was renamed in honor of Nigerian football legend Stephen Keshi, who died in 2016. Located near the River Niger Bridge and the city’s central business district, it is easily accessible for residents and visitors. It hosted the 2018 African Championships in Athletics and serves as a hub for sports and community events. In 2024 it was upgraded ahead of the 8th National Youth Games. In 2025 Anioma Sporting FC plans to use Stephen Keshi Stadium as its official match venue to develop players and engage with the Delta community.
