Governor of Mykolaiv Oblast

The Governor of Mykolaiv Oblast is the head of the region’s executive government. The governor is appointed by the President of Ukraine on the Prime Minister’s recommendation and serves a four-year term. The official residence is in Mykolaiv. The current governor is Vitaliy Kim, who has held the post since 25 November 2020. The position was first established in 1937 as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of Mykolaiv Oblast, with Onyfriy Stolbun as the first holder.
