Clarence Hicks
Clarence Hicks is an American football defensive lineman for the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was born in Pensacola, Florida in 1998 and is 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 229 pounds.
Hicks played high school football at Pine Forest in Pensacola, then college football at Hutchinson Community College (2017–2018) and UTSA (2019–2021). He earned Second-team All-KJCCC honors in 2018 and was a First-team All-C-USA selection in 2021.
After going undrafted in 2022, Hicks signed with the Cincinnati Bengals but was released in August. He then played for the Seattle Sea Dragons of the XFL in 2023, appearing in 10 games with 21 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 2 sacks and 2 pass deflections. The Sea Dragons folded after the XFL-USFL merger.
Hicks signed with the Calgary Stampeders on March 26, 2024. He made his CFL debut on June 7 against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, recording his first sack. In his first CFL season he had 14 tackles, 4 sacks, 2 interceptions and 1 pass deflection. His CFL career totals include 28 tackles, 7 sacks, 2 interceptions and 1 forced fumble. He was named a CFL West All-Star in 2025.
