Gore (crater)

Gore is a small impact crater on the Moon’s near side, close to the northern pole. It is 8.5 kilometers in diameter. Nearby craters are Florey (54.7 km) to the southeast, Peary (73 km) to the east-northeast, and Byrd (94 km) to the southeast. The crater was named after John Ellard Gore by the International Astronomical Union in 2009.
