Gmina Samborzec is a rural administrative district in Sandomierz County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in south-central Poland. The seat is the village of Samborzec, about 8 km southwest of Sandomierz and 78 km east of Kielce. The gmina covers 85.37 square kilometers and had a population of 8,657 in 2013 (about 101 people per square kilometer). It includes the village of Samborzec and many other villages such as Andruszkowice, Bogoria Skotnicka, Bystrojowice, Chobrzany, Faliszowice, Gorzyczany, Jachimowice, Janowice, Kobierniki, Koćmierzów, Krzeczkowice, Łojowice, Milczany, Ostrołęka, Polanów, Ryłowice, Skotniki, Śmiechowice, Strączków, Strochcice, Szewce, Wielogóra, Zajeziorze, Zawierzbie, Zawisełcze and Złota. It borders the towns of Sandomierz and Tarnobrzeg, and the gminas of Klimontów, Koprzywnica and Obrazów.
