Gloydius halys mogoi, also known as the Siberian Pitviper, is a venomous snake found in Mongolia and Siberia. It is a subspecies of the Halys pitviper. The exact status of G. h. mogoi is debated: some scientists treat it as a separate subspecies, while others consider it the same as G. h. halys. It can be distinguished from its closest relative by specific scale counts and apical pits visible under a microscope. Gloydius halys mogoi is viviparous, meaning it gives birth to live young.
