Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care
Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) is a U.S. nonprofit that accredits respiratory care degree programs. Programs go through a voluntary peer-review process and must meet minimum standards set by the profession in cooperation with CoARC. Once they meet the standards, they receive CoARC accreditation, which publicly recognizes their quality. By 2009, there were over 300 accredited programs across the United States.
