Gilmar Iser
Gilmar Miguel Iser (born 28 August 1964) is a Brazilian former professional football defender and a long-time football manager. He was born in Vera Cruz, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Playing career
Iser began his professional career in 1983 with Santa Cruz-RS and played for a series of Brazilian clubs, including Lajeadense, Santo André, Caxias, Guarani-VA, Internacional, and Brasil de Pelotas. He had a stint abroad with Marítimo in Portugal and finished his playing career in 1997.
Managerial career
Starting in 1998, Iser became a football manager. He has coached many clubs, mainly in southern Brazil, such as Lajeadense, São José-RS, Pelotas, Avenida, Novo Hamburgo, Joinville, Glória, Esportivo, Juventude, Caxias, América de Natal, River Plate-SE, and others.
Titles
Iser has won several titles during his managerial career, including:
- Gaúcho Série B with Cachoeira in 2001
- Copa FGF with Novo Hamburgo in 2005
- Copa Emídio Perondi with Novo Hamburgo in 2005
- Campeonato Catarinense Série B with Joinville in 2007
Iser is known for his long involvement in Brazilian football as both a player and a manager.
