Georgios Vaitsis (born 1 August 1967 in Arta) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a forward. A powerful striker, he was known for his headers and shooting. He played for Anagennisi Arta, Olympiacos, Panachaiki, Panelefsiniakos, Ethnikos Piraeus, Agios Dimitrios, Mandraikos and AO Oropou during a long club career, totaling 469 appearances and 113 goals. He made one appearance for the Greece national team in 1992. A memorable moment came in the second round of the 1992–93 European Cup Winners Cup when he scored the winning header for Olympiacos against AS Monaco in France. He had 139 First Division appearances for Panachaiki and scored 29 goals.
