Georgia's Got Talent
Georgia's Got Talent is Georgia’s version of the Got Talent franchise. It’s a 30-minute reality talent show produced by Fremantle. From February 1, 2010, contestants in Georgia — singers, dancers, comedians and other performers — compete for the audience’s support and a top prize of 500,000 laris. In Georgian, the show is called Nichieri (Talented).
The show first aired on Rustavi 2 and later moved to Imedi TV for seasons 8 and 9; most seasons have aired on Rustavi 2. It’s hosted by several presenters over the years, originally Tika Patsatsia and Vano Tarkhnishvili, with other hosts joining later. Judges have included Nika Memanishvili, Maia Asatiani, and Gega Palavandishvili, among others.
Season highlights include Levan Shavadze, the winner of the first season, and Vano Pipia, the winner of the second season (2011), who is known to have polio. The third season aired in 2012.
