Gemmula peyrerensis

Gemmula peyrerensis is an extinct species of sea snail in the Turridae family. It lived during the Oligocene epoch and fossils have been found in Aquitaine, southwestern France. The species was first described by Peyrot in 1931. Its accepted name is Gemmula peyrerensis, and it has been called Pleurotoma rotata var. peyrerensis as a synonym. The holotype specimen is kept at the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (MNHN) in Paris.
