Geetha Salam was the stage name of Abdul Salam (9 October 1946 – 19 December 2018). He was an Indian actor and dramatist who worked in Malayalam cinema. He was born in Oachira, Travancore, and later lived in Krishnapuram, Alappuzha, Kerala. He began his career as a dramatist with the Geetha drama group and then moved to films. His first film was Mani Koya Kurup (1979), directed by S. S. Devadas. His second movie was Megasandesam, a horror film directed by Rajasenan. He acted in about 82 films and some TV series. He is known for Malabar Wedding, Jalolsavam (2004), and Mylanchi Monchulla Veedu (2014). He was married to Rahmath and had two sons, Shan and Shafeer. He received the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award in 2010. Geetha Salam died on 19 December 2018 at the age of 72.
