Gabriele Preuß, born 27 September 1954 in Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, is a German politician from the Social Democratic Party (SPD). She was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from 2014 to 2019, representing Germany as part of the Party of European Socialists. Before joining the European Parliament, she trained with the Westphalia Chamber of Trades and the Northern Westphalia Chamber of Industry and Trade, became a master craftsman, and later worked in administration. She served on the Gelsenkirchen Municipal Council from 1999 to 2014 and was mayor from 2004 to 2014. In the European Parliament, she was a member of the Intergroup on Western Sahara.
