Samantha Ballentines
Samantha Ballentines is the stage name of Francisco José Sánchez Jiménez, born July 13, 1986, in Cádiz, Spain. She is a drag performer, comedian, and multidisciplinary artist, best known for competing on Drag Race España season 2 and season 1 of Drag Race España All Stars.
She has been active in drag since at least 2014, performing in a show with Juana Sicosis. In 2022, she joined Drag Race España season 2. In the first episode, she was up for elimination but won a lip-sync against Marisa Prisa. In the second episode, she again avoided elimination by winning a lip-sync against Ariel Rec. She was eliminated in the third episode by Jota Carajota, but won Miss Congeniality and a prize of 3,000 euros.
Her time on the show and lip-sync performances made her a controversial figure online. After the season, she joined the Gran Hotel de las Reinas tour. She publicly criticized Cádiz local governments for not hosting the tour, even though drag artists from nearby cities took part. In December 2022, she headlined the poster for the Sala Razzmatazz party Una fantasía in Barcelona, alongside Marina.
