GVT TV
GVT TV was a Brazilian satellite pay-TV service owned by Telefônica Vivo and run as a subsidiary of Global Village Telecom (GVT). It delivered channels via direct-to-home (DTH) technology on the Ku band and was based in Curitiba, Brazil. The beta launched on September 16, 2011, as GVT aimed to compete with Sky Brasil and Via Embratel. The service ended on April 15, 2016, when Telefônica Vivo retired the GVT brand and rebranded to Vivo TV.
