Fredrik Johansson (born February 27, 1984) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey centre. He last played for VIK Västerås HK in HockeyAllsvenskan. Johansson was drafted 274th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He made his Swedish Hockey League debut in 2002–03 and represented Sweden at the 2004 World Junior Championships. On June 1, 2006, the Oilers signed him to an entry-level contract, and he was later sent to Frölunda HC in Sweden. On September 26, 2007, Johansson moved to North America, playing for the Oilers’ AHL affiliate Springfield Falcons and then their ECHL affiliate Stockton Thunder. He eventually returned to Västerås. Abdominal muscle surgery limited his playing time in the 2011–12 and 2012–13 seasons, and he returned to the ice in August 2013. He was named captain of Västerås in January 2016. In the 2018–19 season he reached 200 career points with Västerås in a 2–1 win over Vita Hästen. Johansson signed a one-year contract extension with Västerås in February 2019. In August 2013 he revealed his daughter had leukemia and started a Children’s Cancer Foundation fundraiser, which raised about SEK 150,000. His cousin Joakim Andersson also plays professional hockey.
