The Alaska Aces retired his jersey number, 7, in 2022, in honor of his contributions to the franchise.
Thoss also had a significant national team role. In 2009, he was named to Powerade Team Pilipinas for the FIBA Asia Championship, where he posted solid numbers in the early games. He later played for the Philippines in events like the 2012 Jones Cup (where the team won gold) and the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship, though he faced restrictions on full participation in some practices. In addition to his pro and national team work, Thoss spent time in semi-professional leagues in Australia, including a stint with Cairns Marlins, where he earned early career accolades.
