Frederik Bloemaert
Frederik Bloemaert (c. 1614 – 11 June 1690) was a Dutch printmaker and draftsman from Utrecht. He was the youngest son of Abraham Bloemaert and learned engraving from his father. Frederik mainly engraved works based on his father’s designs. His best-known work is a drawing book with 173 plates carved from his father’s designs. He also cut a few plates entirely by hand. His prints sometimes bear the signatures “A. Bloem. inv. F. B. filius fecit” or simply “F. B.”
