1965 NCAA indoor track and field championships
The 1965 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships were held March 12–13 at Cobo Arena in Detroit, Michigan. This was the first NCAA-sanctioned indoor national championship for men's University Division track and field, created separately from the outdoor meet (which had existed since 1921). The indoor event was held in winter, not spring. Missouri finished first in the team standings and won the national title.
