Franciscan Servants of Jesus was a Catholic women’s religious group in the Franciscan tradition. It was founded in 1997 with the approval of Bishop Raymond Burke when he led the Diocese of La Crosse. Its motherhouse was in Prescott, Wisconsin. The foundress, Julie Green, caused controversy because she is a transgender woman. Burke said the matter had been approved by the Holy See. The congregation was suppressed in 2003 by Burke, before he became Archbishop of St. Louis, and it no longer exists.
