Florence Public Library
Florence Public Library, also known as Florence County Public Library, is a historic library building in Florence, South Carolina. Built in 1925, the two-story brick structure sits on a raised basement in a T shape. It features Neo-Classical Revival and Beaux-Arts design influences, with a concrete foundation, reinforced concrete walls, limestone decorative elements, and a standing-seam metal roof. It was the first public library in Florence and, in 1977–1978, it received a large one-story expansion and significant renovations to the original building. The library was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
