Filipp Parusinov
Filipp Alekseevich Parusinov (November 27, 1893 – October 25, 1973) was a Soviet army group commander. He started his military career in the Imperial Russian Army during World War I (1914–1917), then fought for the Bolsheviks in the Russian Civil War and joined the Soviet Army in 1918. Over his career he rose through the ranks, eventually becoming a lieutenant general, and he commanded several large formations, including the 12th Army, the 13th Army, the 25th Army, and the Maritime Group of Forces.
Parusinov fought in Finland’s Winter War, World War II, and the Soviet–Japanese War. He retired from the military in 1956 at age 63 and died in Moscow in 1973.
