Euryops chrysanthemoides, also called the African bush daisy or bull’s-eye, is a small evergreen shrub from southern Africa. It grows about 0.5 to 2 meters tall and has dense branches with smooth green leaves. It is often grown as a decorative plant in tropical to subtropical regions around the world.

Taxonomy and names: It belongs to the genus Euryops in the sunflower family (Asteraceae). The binomial name is Euryops chrysanthemoides (DC.) B.Nord. It was moved from the genus Gamolepis based on chromosome counts.

Native range and habitat: It is native to southern Africa, from the Eastern Cape along the coast and inland to KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, and Eswatini. It usually grows on forest edges, near rivers, in ravines, as well as in coastal scrub, grassland, and disturbed areas.

Weed status: In New South Wales, Australia, it is considered a ruderal weed, but it is not invasive in all places where it is cultivated or has naturalized.
