The Eungella honeyeater (Bolemoreus hindwoodi) is a small bird in the honeyeater family that is found only in Australia. It lives in a small area of plateau rainforest in the Clarke Range, west of Mackay, Queensland. Sometimes it forages along the rainforest edge and in nearby open forest.

This bird was first described as a separate species in 1983. For a long time it was thought to be an outlying population of the bridled honeyeater. In 2011, scientists moved it from the genus Lichenostomus to Bolemoreus after DNA studies showed the old group was not a single lineage.

The species name hindwoodi honors Keith Hindwood, a notable amateur ornithologist. The name Eungella comes from a local Aboriginal word believed to mean “mountain of the mist” or “land of cloud.”

The Eungella honeyeater is currently listed as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List because it has a very limited range and relies on a specific habitat. Protecting its Clarke Range rainforest habitat is important for its survival.
