Elba is a town in Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States. It covers about 35.5 square miles in total, with 35.4 square miles of land and a small amount of water, and sits at about 869 feet above sea level. The population was 1,086 at the 2000 census, and the town includes the small communities of Astico and Danville. The population density was about 31 people per square mile, and there were 397 housing units.

Racially, Elba was mostly White (about 98.5%), with small numbers of African American, Native American, and other races; about 1.6% were Hispanic or Latino. There were 385 households, with an average size of 2.82 people and an average family size of 3.13. About 36% of households had children under 18, and 69% were married couples. Six percent had a female householder with no husband present, and 20% were non-families. Individuals living alone accounted for about 15% of households, and 6% were people 65 or older living alone. The median age was 39 years, and for every 100 females there were about 105 males. Income levels showed a median household income of $57,132 and a median family income of $59,583, with a per capita income of $22,055. Poverty affected a small share of residents—about 2.3% of families and 3.6% of the population, including 4.7% of those under 18 and 6.0% of those 65 or older.
